Senior Sales Engineer

We are currently looking for a Senior Sales Engineer to work in a collaborative high-tech environment as a “Solutions Architect.” The Solutions Architect must be able to articulate IDV Solutions’ Visual Fusion technology to both business and technical influencers and decision-makers during the pre-sales process. He/she will work to understand customer needs and create solutions based on Visual Fusion and Microsoft technology. A blend of creativity, technical savvy, people skills and pragmatism are key attributes for this individual.

Ideal candidates should possess:
  • Ability to identify and communicate creative solutions to business and technical problems
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including listening skills
  • Enthusiastic approach
  • Ability to lead small group sessions (e.g., requirements and design sessions with users or IT staff)
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience with documentation and problem resolution
  • Experience producing high and mid-level project estimates
  • Desire to work agilely and collaboratively
  • Ability to multi-process
  • Eagerness to explore and learn
  • Familiarity with the software development life cycle (historical development experience preferred)
  • Experience gathering and documenting high-level business, user interface and data requirements to guide agile development
  • Working knowledge of web development, relational databases, common technology stacks and architectures including
    • Web services/SOAP/REST/WCF
    • Service Oriented Architecture
    • Data Warehousing/OLAP and ETL processing
  • Microsoft .Net framework and SharePoint experience preferred

Software Developer

We are currently looking for an experienced software developer. We offer the opportunity to develop creative solutions using Microsoft technologies in Lansing in an agile, casual, highly collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Strong knowledge of the C#.Net Framework
  • Relational database design and programming (SQL Server and/or Oracle)
  • Proven experience with Microsoft development tools including VS 2008/2010 and TFS
  • Good communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
Desired Skills:
  • SharePoint programming and deployment experience preferred
  • Silverlight and/or WPF experience preferred
  • Experience with .NET and other web service standards (WCF, REST, SOAP)
  • ASP.NET experience preferred

Video Production—Part-Time

IDV Solutions, a Lansing, Michigan-based software company, has immediate need for a part-time audio/video production associate to create product awareness / marketing and training videos. The position requires experience with Adobe Premiere, Camtasia Studio, Windows 7, and basic video equipment. Post production work includes mix down of a combination of audio, video and computer "screen cam" materials; encoding video for online use, such as YouTube; and distribution to the web. 10-20 hours per week. Pay based on experience.
