Ian Clemens, Chief Technology Officer, IDV Solutions

Chief Technology Officer

Ian Clemens is the Chief Technology Officer for IDV Solutions. In this role, he spearheads the vision for IDV's technology and products. Bringing more than 15 years of experience in the technology and consulting industries, he oversees research, product development, and technology strategy.

Ian is an expert in interactive data visualization, location intelligence and business intelligence software, and has authored a number of articles on the topic in publications including DM Review and Directions Magazine.

Prior to joining IDV, he was director of technology solutions for Universal Map, a map publisher and distributor, and senior consultant for BBK Ltd. / Anderson Economic Group a consulting firm specializing in economics, finance, and public policy.

Clemens holds a degree in Applied Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and master's degree in Christian Studies from Regent College, Vancouver, BC.

He co-founded IDV Solutions with CEO Mark Morrison in 2004.

Mark Morrison, Chief Executive Officer, IDV Solutions

Chief Executive Officer

Mark Morrison is the CEO for IDV Solutions. With his expertise in software, technology solutions, marketing, sales force development, management and leadership, Mark leads the company's overall efforts in business vision, growth and expansion. He has spent the last twenty five years working with Global 1000 companies delivering productivity technology solutions, all aimed at improving performance and ROI.

Prior to IDV Solutions, Morrison co-founded Strategic Interactive Inc., a successful technology company. Strategic Interactive created web-based, large-scale training and human resource systems for government and Fortune 500 companies. Strategic Interactive grew to 126 people in 7 years.

Mark holds a degree in Liberal Studies from Western Michigan University.

He co-founded IDV Solutions with CTO Ian Clemens in 2004.

John Dougherty, Executive Vice President of Operations, IDV Solutions

Executive Vice President of Operations

John Dougherty is the Vice President of Operations for IDV Solutions. In this role, he oversees all product and project development activities, from pre-sales planning through completion. John also provides general business oversight and directs the work of IDV’s general counsel.

John began his career with AT&T Bell Laboratories (now Lucent) and has over twenty-five years of technical management experience. Before joining IDV Solutions, he was a project manager for a five-year $36 million enterprise application development effort. In prior organizations, John has held leadership roles in software product development and systems integration companies.

Dougherty holds a degree in Computer Programming Science from Michigan State University, and a master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Michigan. He is also a PMP (Project Management Professional) as certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Stan Starkey, Executive Vice President of Sales, IDV Solutions

Executive Vice President of Sales

Stanley Starkey is EVP of Sales for IDV Solutions. In this role, Stan is responsible for overall sales for IDV globally. Stan has been a top-level sales and operations executive in the software industry for more than 30 years building both direct and partner sales channels.

Prior to joining IDV, Stan was vice president of sales for insurance software leader Vertafore, where he managed all sales for the producer lifecycle management division. Stan’s extensive sales and operations experience includes executive positions at eJustice, Workforce Software and Comshare, where he was senior vice president of field operations and carried worldwide P&L responsibility. He also served at Comshare as vice president of sales, North America and in top regional sales positions. Stan also served as vice president of sales, North America, for Gentia Software, Inc. of Wimbledon, England, where he grew the software firm's license fees by 65 percent.

Scott Morrison, Executive Vice President of Marketing, IDV Solutions

Executive Vice President of Marketing

Mr. Morrison brings over 25 years of marketing, sales and product management experience to IDV Solutions. As Executive Vice President of Marketing, Scott is responsible for managing the company's branding, communications, media relations and marketing programs.

Prior to joining IDV Solutions, Scott held executive positions at several technology companies. Most recently, he served as vice president of marketing and sales at CFI Group, a customer experience technology and services company. Scott has also held management positions at Vertafore, Infor, Media Station, Epicor Software, and Accenture.

Mr. Morrison was honored with the Platinum Award for excellence by the Marketing and Sales Executives of Detroit (MSED), and received his Bachelor’s degree in Business with honors from the University of Notre Dame, where he also founded Adworks, and served as a Board member.

Scott Caulk, Vice President of Platform & OEM Sales, IDV Solutions

Vice President of Platform & OEM Sales

Scott Caulk is the Vice President of Platform and OEM Sales for IDV Solutions. In this role, he leads all sales and account management related to IDV’s platform technology, Visual Fusion.

Caulk has over 13 years of IT experience as a developer, project manager, and product manager. Prior to IDV Solutions, he held IT roles at Northrup Grumman and Universal Studios, among others.  In his career he has managed and developed dozens of successful projects and products, including start-up web properties, global 100 e-commerce, and US defense systems.

In addition to graduating with honors and earning an MBA from Michigan State University’s Eli Broad Graduate School of Management, Scott also holds a master’s degree in Education from Azusa Pacific University.

Chris Kushmaul, Director of Supply Chain Solutions

Director of Supply Chain Solutions

Chris Kushmaul is responsible for leading IDV’s supply chain risk management practice including guiding the development, sales and implementation of Visual Command Center for Supply Chain.

Prior to joining IDV Solutions, Chris held positions managing global logistics and transportation management for Diebold Inc., General Electric, Delphi Automotive, and a 3rd party logistics service provider. At the beginning of his career, Chris served 11 years in the U.S. Army, first as an enlisted infantry soldier, then, after commissioning, as an airborne infantry officer in the 82nd Airborne Division.

Chris holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and a Bachelor’s from U of M and has earned a Risk Management Education Certificate from the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS).

Chuck Fields, Senior Director of Software Development, IDV Solutions

Senior Director of Product Development

Chuck Fields is Senior Director of Product Development for IDV Solutions. In this role, his primary responsibility is product management for Visual Command Center, IDV Solutions’ physical security and risk visualization (PSRV) software.

Chuck is often found leading customer deployments, providing technical oversight on key customer and partner engagements, or collaborating with other departments at IDV Solutions.

Formerly a Senior Software Engineer with Munro & Associates and a founding partner with BC Designs, Chuck has more than fifteen years of team-based software development experience on the Microsoft Platform. He holds a Programmer/Analyst associates degree from Lansing Community College, as well as a Microsoft Certified Professional Developer Certification. He also participated in the U.S Naval Nuclear Power Program in Orlando, Florida.

John Nelson, Director of Visualization, IDV Solutions

Director of Visualization

John is the Director of Visualization for IDV Solutions, working with customers and product teams to deliver intuitive and effective user experiences for IDV’s software suite.

Part of the IDV team for over ten years, John provides leadership on internal initiatives related to workplace engagement, education, and satisfaction, and is a frequent speaker and writer on the topics of usable design, cartography, and data visualization. His work has been published in academic textbooks, Houghton-Mifflin’s Best-Of series, and National Geographic Magazine.

John earned his Master’s degree in GeoScience from Central Michigan University, researching spatial-software usability.

George F. Siegle, Director of Product Management, IDV Solutions

Director of Product Management

George F. Siegle is the Director of Product Management for IDV Solutions. Siegle is responsible for developing and executing product strategy including IDV's product roadmap, market requirements, pricing and competitive analysis.

Siegle brings more than twenty years of strategy, marketing and product innovation expertise to IDV Solutions, including technology marketing experience at Deneba Software and Microsoft. Prior to IDV Solutions, he held marketing and product innovation roles at Tria Marketing & Design, Michigan Economic Development Corporation, and Delta Dental of Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana.

Siegle earned an M.B.A. from the Eli Broad Graduate School of Management at Michigan State University. He also received his degree in Hospitality Business from MSU. Siegle is certified as a New Product Development Professional (NPDP) from the Product Development and Management Association.

Chris Fisher, Director of Design, IDV Solutions

Director of Design

Chris Fisher is the Director of Design at IDV Solutions. He oversees the graphic design of IDV’s marketing materials and products.

Prior to IDV, Fisher was an Interactive Services Director and Art Director at software companies and marketing communication studios, where he worked with many of the world’s biggest brands. He has a decade of expertise in user experience design, new media, and marketing communication, allowing him to solve a wide variety of design challenges, such as putting the user first.

Chris earned his degree from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, with a focus on sequential art and graphic design.
