Visual Fusion Developer Certification
The Visual Fusion Certification Program is a technical skill credentials program
that identifies high quality, knowledgeable Visual Fusion Developers. As well as
being a requirement for Business Partners to have on staff, Certification offers
a great way to gain a competitive edge in your industries.
To earn Visual Fusion Developer Certification, you must demonstrate the ability
to design and develop enterprise solutions using Visual Fusion. A certified developer
will have proven understanding of Visual Fusion, from installation to build to deployment.
IDV business partner companies are required to have at least one certified developer
on staff.
PREREQUISITES
Before beginning the certification process, you should meet these prerequisites:
- Attend Visual Fusion training
- Know how to install, configure, and deploy Visual Fusion
- Have built a Visual Fusion application from the ground up, either for a client,
or as a public-facing proof of concept
- Set up a sandbox that a proctor can access to review your demonstrations of skill
CERTIFICATION PROCESS
To begin the certification process, email IDV Solutions at
support@idvsolutions.com to request a proctor. Your proctor will be an IDV
senior developer who’s designed and developed production applications for IDV’s
clients.
At first contact, your proctor will ask you for proof that you’ve met the prerequisites.
Be ready to:
- Provide the dates of Visual Fusion training you attended.
- Take a verbal test on the installation, configuration, and deployment of Visual
Fusion applications.
- Submit a URL for a Visual Fusion application you’ve built previously.
Your certification proctor may suggest more learning and practice on your part,
or may approve your move to the next steps in the certification process:
- Build your certification application to demonstrate your proficiency in the skills
outlined in the Skills Curriculum below. When building this application, demonstrate
your professionalism:
- Your proctor is your project manager – communicate your progress.
- Your proctor is your tech lead – consult about demonstrating the skills as necessary,
but remember that developing the application is your job.
- Your proctor is your client – keep the client happy.
- When your certification application is complete, send your proctor the URL and
grant access to your configuration files and code.
- Your proctor will schedule an interview for you to explain your application and
how it demonstrates your skills. Then, your proctor evaluates your certification
application, configuration files, and code, and schedules a meeting to review the
results. Your proctor may require more work before signing off.
We suggest completing your certification application within one to two months.
